| There has been increasing recognition in recent years of the importance of a local community in defining the future of woodland in which they have an interest. Certain survey, mapping and inventory techniques may be helpful in supporting a Community Group or Council in this work; but more importantly perhaps is appropriate public consultation and strategy development. In recent years Forest Fact has, with sound technical foundations, worked with Communities to bring forward suitable plans for woodland with a high public profile. |
